Reading places are available at three locations. No reservation is necessary and the places can be freely chosen.

Access only for BOKU members (students and staff) with valid BOKUcard!

New database STATISTA available

The database STATISTA is a statistics-portal, which provides access to statistical data from different institutes and sources.

The data can be downloaded in different formats (Powerpoint, Excel,..).

The license includes the modules “DACH content” as well as “Statista International”.

Access to this database is provided via the Database-Information-System (DBIS).

Special library WHW will be suspended

At request of the institute the holdings of the special library WHW will be splitted between the Institute of Hydrology and Water Management and the Institute of Hydrolic Engineering and River Research.

During processing the books and journals are not available for use.

Works from the main library and the special libraries that cannot be borrowed can be ordered and used on site by appointment.

New textbook collection in the Ilse-Wallentin-Haus

The new textbook collection in the Isle-Wallentin-Haus opens on 13.09.2021.

Opening hours of the textbook collection:
Monday, Thursday 10:00 – 14:00
Tuesday 10:00 – 16:00

Access only with BOKUcard!

The use of the reading spaces is possible after prior online registration, please check the library’s homepage for details!

Attention: Due to the Corona measures, the use of the reading places in the learning centre is not yet possible.

New learning center and textbook collection in the Ilse-Wallentin-Haus

A new learning centre and textbook collection has been set up by the library in the Ilse-Wallentin-Haus.
The textbook collection is equipped with a self-check-out terminal where BOKU students can borrow and return books independently after logging in with their BOKUcard. The payment function at the terminal allows the payment of possible fees.
The learning centre offers reading places for 82 users in quiet, natural surroundings and meets the great demand for reading space by the students. All reading places are equipped with reading lamps and power sockets.

Attention: Due to the Corona measures, access to the new textbook collection and learning centre is not yet possible. The textbooks can be ordered by e-mail until further notice. They will be retrieved by the library staff and made available for collection at the circulation desk in the main library.
